RecyClass is a Europe-based non-profit, cross-industry initiative dedicated to advancing the circular economy for plastics. Its core work is establishing a scientific, unified system for plastic recyclability assessment and recycled plastic traceability.
It differs fundamentally from GRS and EN 15343 discussed earlier: RecyClass focuses primarily on "whether packaging is designed for recycling," rather than "how much recycled content a product contains." It functions more like a "recyclability rating agency" and a traceability compliance tool for plastic packaging.
